KVK instructional farm

This KVK has 21.19ha. Instructional farm. On this instructional farm we have mother block of horticultural crop. We have also conducting demonstration of Agronomical, vegetables, flowers and fodder crops with advance irrigation system.

This KVK also created skill training by developing following demonstration units.

1. Sericulture raring Unit
2. Soil testing unit
3. Dairy unit
4. Poultry unit
5. Goat raring unit
6. Nursery unit
7. Protective cultivation unit
8. Silage unit

Initiative in Sericulture development

This KVK has good linkage with District Sericulture Department from 2013-14. Initially this KVK started Sericulture raring unit on small scale. This KVK also included silkworm rearing training programme.

Area under mulberry plantation is 4 ha. Planting material produced while demonstrating seedling preparation and planting of seedlings on mulching is 82,000 Nos. In Mechanization in sericulture KVK demonstrated us of Shrdedder, Cocoon Harvester, Humidifier come heater and leaf chopping machine. KVK also demonstrated the use of growth hormone to increase yield and minimize input cost of

KVK imparted the vocational training and demonstration for beneficiary empowerment program with the help of different agencies like ATMA, ASCI (Agriculture Skill Council India), State department of Sericulture and VNMKV Parbhani to rural youth, farmers and extension personals.

The infrastructure available with KVK

1. Silk worm rearing sheds having 5000 Ft2 area.
2. Chalky rearing room 500 Ft2 approximately  

 

Students completed   different projects under experiential learning module   sericulture and YCMOU Projects.
